A leading Housing Group is looking to take on a number of Multi-Skilled Operatives to help diffuse a backlog of work as the Housing Group takes it’s Maintenance Services in house from a Contractor. The roles have immediate starts and will run until at least February next year. The roles have Monday – Friday working weeks, with competitive hourly rates and include both a Van and fuel card.

A leading Housing Group with Property throughout the UK. These roles are covering either the North London or South London patches, and vehicles are provided.

Description

The trades the Housing Group are looking to recruit include;

• Multi-Skilled Plumbers
• Multi-Skilled Joiners
• Multi-Skilled Plasterers

The roles will involve working on the domestic portfolio, working with a bias to the above trades to a high standard.

Also:

• Carry out associated secondary trade activities within acceptable quality standards to support KPIs for a first time fix.
• Provide accurate working information on operational activities, electronically or otherwise, in accordance with legislative and company requirements and procedures.
• Take personal responsibility for the condition and appearance of the Company vehicle to ensure it complies with regulatory and HA standards
• Ensure that accurate records are kept of van stock so that stock levels are appropriately maintained
• Ensure all plant and equipment is fully functional, appropriately maintained and certificated with defects reported and waste materials disposed of correctly.

Profile

The successful candidate is required to hold

• NVQ Level 2(City & Guilds) Trade Qualification or equivalent recognised competency in the required trade
• Full UK Driving License

And ideally:

• Social Housing experience desirable
• Demonstrable competence within required primary trade.
• Various multi-trade skills and experience, sufficient to enable the completion of repairs at the first visit (first time fix).
• Experience of working in a customer focused environment within agreed performance targets.
• Proven ability to work methodically, follow agreed procedures and accurately record data and information.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems seeking any advice required.
• Ability to carry out physical tasks and lift weights in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.

Job Offer

The successful candidates will be offered a competitive hourly rate of £16.79 PAYE (£22 Umbrella), alongside a Van and Fuel card.

The roles have an immediate start date and will be guaranteed until at least the 1st of Feb, but this is likely to be further extended.
