Managing Quantity Surveyor – London

Murphy are recruiting a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a robust and ambitious commercial team in North London delivering utilities projects across the region. Murphy have secured the North London primary contractor package on Thames Water AMP7 Capital Works framework. The framework will consist of the delivery of the detailed design, build, commissioning and handover of water and wastewater infrastructure schemes ranging in value from £1m to £30m during years 2 to 5 of the current AMP. Securing £150m worth or work across the AMP.

The Managing Quantity Surveyor will be resilient, process impeccable NEC contract understanding and negotiation and confidence leading and mentoring a team of commercial staff.

YOUR PROFILE

• Experience within a similar role for a tier 1 contractor.
• HND/Degree qualification 
• CSCS Card (relevant type)
• Comprehensive NEC contract experience and demonstrable commercial awareness.
• Exposure to the Water / Civils / Infrastructure environment essential
• A willingness to travel as the projects dictate
• An ambitious leader who is looking to commercially lead on projects worth c. £30 million, drive profitability and always acting with integrity.
• The role will be suited to somebody desiring development, independence and accountability, and this will be facilitated via the opportunity to deliver their own projects from start to finish, of increasing magnitude and complexity.
